Conservation Education Internship

Participation in the development, implementation, and assessment of informal education programs at the zoo as well as at off-site venues.

Participation in interpretation of concepts such as animal care, conservation, and well-being to guests at zoo habitats.

Participation in training teen and adult volunteers.

Participation in the development of narrations for rides and tours.

Participation in the care of ambassador program species.

Skills training in program and lesson plan development and assessment, public speaking and interaction, ambassador animal handling and care, and basic concepts of ambassador animal training.
